Pachyphytum ‘Macho’ is a charming trailing succulent with plump, rounded leaves coated in a soft layer of farina that gives the plant a pale, powdery look. The leaves are thick and slightly bluish-green, creating a gentle pastel tone that stands out in succulent arrangements.
As the plant matures, it develops long stems with leaves concentrated near the tips, allowing it to trail naturally over the edges of pots or rock walls. It may also produce a bloom stalk with small flowers during the growing season. This variety grows best in bright light with well-draining soil and infrequent watering, and it can be easily propagated from stem cuttings.
- Bright Indoor Light, Full Sun.
- Gritty, well-draining soil is essential. Use a cactus and succulent mix with 70%-80% mineral grit such as coarse sand, pumice, or perlite.
- Water infrequently. Allow soil to dry out completely between waterings. Avoid letting water sit in the rosette to prevent rot.
